Rental Conditions

Article 1

Driver Rent a Car gives a renter the permission for using the vehicle which is registered and technically in good order for driving under the conditions defined in this Contract.

Article 2

By signing, the client agrees with terms of this contract, pricing and that the vehicle is rented by following the law of traffic safety on the roads.

Article 3

The client agrees to return the vehicle to the place and time defined by this contract.

Article 4

If the client wishes to return the vehicle earlier that is possible. The client’s obligation is to notify Driver Rent a Car t least 6 hours before changed return date and time. If the Renter does not notify and arrange new drop off time with Driver Rent a Car, the Renter will be responsible for any expenses that occur such as parking tickets, towing and other.

Article 5

In case of returning the vehicle before the arranged date and time in the contract, there will be no refund from Driver Rent A Car to the Renter.

Article 6

The rented car can only be driven by persons written in this contact.

Article 7

The renter shall not drive the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicating means.

Article 8

Crossing the legislative border is only possible with prior authorization from Driver Rent a Car.

Article 9

The renter shall obligatorily use the instruments for securing the vehicle from theft by always locking the car doors.

Article 10

If a client returns the car later than stated in the contract, 1/4 of daily cost of the rent will be charged for every hour of delay +VAT.

Article 11

Driving pets in the car is only allowed with written permission of Driver Rent a Car.

Article 12

In the event that the User returns the vehicle in a condition which requires additional or special washing (deep washing), they will be charged in the amount of 10€ + VAT for additional washing of an extremely dirty car, up to 30€ + VAT for special washing.

Article 13

In case of theft, the client is obligatory to pay the market price of the rented vehicle to Driver Rent a Car.

Article 14

Extension of car rent is only possible with agreement with Driver Rent a Car and with payments ahead. Payment of car rental extension cannot be done by lowering the amounts of security deposits.

Article 15

If during the use of vehicle damage occurs to the vehicle such us: motor, transmission, clutch, other characteristic part not exactly specified, lack of the oil of motor, differential, cooling liquid, overheating of the motor, or similar the Renter and Driver Rent A Car shall jointly determine about financial damage the occurred to the car.

Article 16

The client should immediately notify Driver Rent a Car if anything is wrong with the car during the period of the rent and wait for instructions from Driver Rent A Car. Examples are: engine fault notification is on (the client should immediately stop driving), screeching when breaking, tire pressure notification and other. In case the Renter does not notify Driver Rent A Car and the damage results from the negligence of the Renter, the Renter is obliged to pay for the damage as well as the loss of profit for non operating days by the current pricelist to Driver Rent A Car.

Article 17

In case of a traffic accident, The Renter’s obligation is to immediately call police, fulfill the police report and notify Driver Rent A Car.

Article 18

For any kind of damage made to the vehicle, only police report is valid, and needs to be presented by the Renter to Driver Rent A Car.

Article 19

Fuel policy of Driver Rent A Car is like for like. In case of dropping of the car with more fuel than taken upon renting a car, Driver Rent A Car will not return money or buy fuel from the Renter. In case of less fuel retuned by the Renter, the Renter will be charged the difference in fuel by valid price list plus additional 10€ + VAT.

Article 20

In case of lost documents, the renter is obliged to pay Driver Rent A Car the amount of 350€ + VAT.

Article 21

In case of lost keys, the renter is obliged to pay Driver Rent A Car the amount of 350€ + VAT.

Article 22

Fees such as parking tickets, traffic tickets, towing service, police report fees, less fuel returned at the end of the rent by the Renter, are not part of the insurance and are defined as additional fees. The additional fees are defined by expenses that occur depending on the situation and are not responsibility of Driver Rent A Car unless stated otherwise.

Article 23

A valid driving license, passport or ID, minimum 3 years of driving experience stated in the license are necessary from the Renter to hire a car with Driver Rent A Car. Driver Rent A Car can approve special request to rent a car by the Renter who has 1-3 years of driving experience.  International driving licensee is not necessary to hire a car with Driver Rent A Car.

Article 24

In case of unpredictable circumstances when the reserved model of the car cannot be rented to the client, Driver Rent A Car will offer same or higher level class car to the client, or return the funds to the client.

Article 25

Any psychical damage to the vehicle during the period of the rent is a subject of damage reimbursement by the Renter, unless stated otherwise.

Article 26

If a car battery stops working by the negligence of the Renter, The Renter will reimburse fees that occur for replacement.

Article 27

Drop off conditions of Driver Rent A Car are as follows: When dropping off the vehicle the Renter is obliged to hand over the keys and car documents to the rental car agent. If the renter refuses to do so, the Renter is obliged to pay a fee of 1000€ + VAT. After the key and documents handover, the rental car agent will check if conditions of this agreement have been met.

Article 28

The Renter agrees that determination of damage to the vehicle is done by photographing the car by the Driver Rent A Car agent at the beginning of the rental and checking the same photos at the end of rental.

Article 29

All employees of the Driver Rent A Car company or other authorized persons reserve the right to control the manner of use of the vehicle at any time, and if there are indications that it is not used in accordance with the Agreement and the General Terms and Conditions of Vehicle Use, they have the possibility to demand the vehicle and terminate the Vehicle Rental and the Agreement, at any time and anywhere. 

Article 30

Driver Rent A Car reserves the right to monitor the movement of the vehicle via GPS system.

Article 31

When paying with a payment card via the Internet, the card data is entered on the protected website of the bank or payment intermediary.  The security of data when paying with a payment card is guaranteed by the payment card processor on whose pages the payment process is performed. At no time does the Driver Rent A Car have access to the User's payment card data.

Article 32

This agreement is made in 2 languages (English, Serbian). By signing this document the Renter read, understood and accepted full conditions of this contract even if language used in this contract is written in is not the first language of the Renter.

Article 33

The contract is concluded in 2 copies of which each contracting party retains one copy.
